How can you fix a left mouse button not working?

I've done every fix I could find, changed batteries, switched ports, etc., and it still doesn't work. I've checked the manufacturers website to find a new driver update, but its all on chinese. I'm having a really hard time here, since I use my pc a lot for school related things and such. I'll go ahead and provide more info if someone responds.

But I did do the sfc scan thing and it told me it found the corrupted file and is fixing it. I don't know what to do next though. (I tried to paste my screenshot but it said it could not be found.)

I had this same problem, and what solved it for me was that I finally realized that I had a second mouse configured to work with this particular computer, and that second mouse was turned on and was near enough to my computer that, for whatever, reason, it was taking precedence. The other mouse was in my backpack. The mouse that was on my desk would move the pointer around, but could never left-click. When I finally realized this I just turned off the mouse that was in my backpack and the one on my desk started working.

This is what the SFC scan told me:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline

repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag

    Hey Sebastian,

I had the same issue today and I noticed it was right after a microsoft security update - none of the other fixes worked but after uninstalling the update I am happy to say my mouse is working again.

In search bar type "update history" -> click "uninstall updates" at the top -> I found the most recent update from today and uninstalled it -> after restarting it's working again (but I did have to do this process twice for some reason)
