Whatever clue I gave must have helped. You're welcome.

LS27BG402ENXG0 Odessey Monitor - My Graphic Card 3070 supports up to four displays via one 2.1 HDMI and three DisplayPort 1.4a ports ----My new monitor cables are 1 x DisplayPort 1.2, --- 2 x HDMI 2.0. The HDMI cable works fine, and I understand that HDMI port only supports AMD Free Sync Premium, so even if you connect NVIDIA graphics card to HDMI port,
it will be indicated as Free Sync Premium on OSD.
I've never used the display port connector or port. I understand in some instances they run in compatibility or together, or ?????? but I had a few questions.
Should I be able to plug the display port connecter in as the only source to receive a signal or do I need to connect both cables? What is the idea way of connecting the display port and are my display port cables compatible? 1.2 and 1.4 are nearly the same I suspect.
When I plug the display cable up without the HDMI cable - I keep getting prompted for the HDMI cable - When I connect both I don't get a signal.
My computer is fairly new. Any hep would be appreciated.

That's what I was overlooking. I was still connected to the HDMI selection and just had to change it to the display mode. - Thank you!
I guess I was expecting an auto detect. I don't know why it didn't occur to me.

YES
You can use a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter also if your monitor doesn't have DisplayPort. You need only one cable per monitor.
Hi rguyone,
I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.
The Display Port cable/port works just like the HDMI ones. You just need to connect it and select the input on the monitor, alone, no additional cables are needed.
