Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Try to check these settings in your integrated graphics software.

If the laptop has AMD-integrated graphics.

Search and open the AMD Radeon software.

Find Vari-bright in Display settings and toggle it to Disabled.

If the laptop has Intel-integrated graphics

Search and open the Intel Graphics Command Center.

Go to System and under the power tab

Toggle off any Display Power saving feature.

    Hi Nayef,

Absolutely, there could be other reasons why your brightness is changing unexpectedly. Here are a few common ones to consider before diving into the BIOS settings:

    1. Keyboard shortcuts: Many laptops have dedicated function keys (usually labeled with symbols like a sun or a monitor) that allow you to adjust the brightness. These keys often require simultaneous pressing of the "Fn" (Function) key along with the brightness adjustment key. Sometimes, accidentally pressing these keys could cause the brightness to change.
    2. Third-party software: Check if there is any third-party software or utility installed on your laptop that might be managing display settings. Some applications, like battery optimization software or display drivers with their own control panels, may have their own settings for automatic brightness adjustment.
    3. Power plans: Certain power plans in Windows can adjust display brightness based on power settings. Verify that your current power plan is not set to adjust brightness automatically when on battery or plugged in.
    4. Malfunctioning hardware: While this is less common with new laptops, there is a possibility of a hardware issue causing the brightness to fluctuate. However, it's best to explore software-related possibilities first.

If, after checking these possibilities, you still experience the issue, then you may proceed to explore the BIOS/UEFI settings for any potential light sensor or brightness-related configurations. Remember to be cautious while accessing and modifying BIOS settings, as incorrect changes can affect the system's functionality.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

    Hi Nayef,

I understand that you're facing an issue with the automatic brightness adjustment on your new Lenovo laptop, even though you have disabled the setting.

Would you tell me the exact model of your Lenovo laptop?

Some laptops have a built-in light sensor that may need to be adjusted in the BIOS or UEFI setup. You can try to enter the BIOS or UEFI setup interface and look for options related to the light sensor or automatic brightness adjustment. Please note that entering the BIOS or UEFI setup requires careful maneuvering, if you are unsure how to proceed, please refer to Lenovo's official documentation or contact their customer support for precise instructions.

Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.

If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
