    Hi Juana V,

I'm Tim, an Independent Consultant here and a Microsoft user like you. I don't work for Microsoft and do not have access to any of your data on their system.

Has it prevented you from accessing Windows?

How has it locked the computer?

Which operating system are you using?

    Kind regards

    Tim

    Dear Don:

Thank you for your very detail answer and options. Unfortunately or fortunately ??, finally I did not have the opportunity to try any of them. After 3 or 4 times keeping the laptop unplug and wifi disconnected for weeks to isolate the equipment, apparently last time it worked; I guest it was equivalent of your third suggestion, the hard shutdown. Not idea why it did not work the first times. I did follow your advise and wipe clear the cache.

As a matter of advise, I do remember that in trying that popular indeed website indeed, I realized microseconds after hitting enter that I misspelled it as indee.

Thank you again to you and this friendly community

Your browser was locked by a Javascript loop. There's no malware installed.

You should be able to get rid of the screen that has caused this lockup by doing as many of these steps as it takes...

    1. Hitting Alt+F4 a couple of time to close the browser
    2. Opening Task Manager [Ctrl+Alt+Esc] and closing all browser processes
    3. Doing a hard shutdown... Pull the plug or hold the power button down
    4. After escaping this locked state it would be a good idea to clear the cache of whatever browser you were using
