Amazon page (only) won't display fully/properly after taking a long time to load

Hello All,

I started experiencing a problem yesterday all of a sudden...

I haven't been able to pull up my KDP webpage and since it's connected to Amazon, after part of the day had gone by I had tried Amazon as well only to experience the exact same things. At first, the pages wouldn't load at all but if I just left them up to spin and spin and spin, they would eventually show up - BUT, not in their entirety as you can see from the screenshot.

I have a second Windows desktop computer and I don't experience any issues at all when I pull up their sites.

And the Amazon domain is the only site that I am having an issue with. This is not happening with any other sites that I visit. Can anybody help with getting this corrected?

Thanks!

WB

    Hi Wayne,

I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

To begin, could you let me know if you are using Microsoft Edge as your browser?

Have you tried testing the Amazon website using a different browser?

This can help determine if the issue is specific to one browser.

In the meantime, you can check if Amazon works properly in private mode on Microsoft Edge as an example. To do this, press Ctrl + Shift + N key to open a private browsing window and see if the page displays correctly.

If it does, the problem could be related to your cache, cookies, or browser extensions.

Give that a try and let me know if the issue persists. We can work together to find a solution to get your Amazon page displaying fully and properly again.

    Best regards,

    John J.D.

    Hi WB,

Thank you for getting back to me and providing more information.

Are you using any VPN or have you configured your DNS settings via the computer's settings?

Also, verify that your computer's time and date settings are correct. Sometimes, incorrect time and date settings can cause issues with secure websites like Amazon.

Please proceed with the following steps:

    > Press Windows + S key open Search and type cmd.

    > In search result "Command Prompt" select "Run as administrator" to open an elevated Command Prompt window.

    > In the Command Prompt, type each of the following commands one at a time and press Enter after each:

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    > Once the commands are executed, restart your PC to apply the changes.

After the restart, try accessing Amazon again using Firefox, Chrome, or Edge, and see if the issue is resolved. These steps can help reset network configurations that might be causing the problem.

Please keep me posted and let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Best regards,

    John J.D.

I just did what you have suggested with no results. Amazon window is still broken in loading.

    Hi WB,

Thank you for getting back to me. Good morning!

Thank you for trying those steps, and I appreciate the information about the VPN and date/time settings.

Could you confirm whether you've already attempted to run the commands I shared in the Command Prompt?

If you haven't tried them yet, it might be worth giving them a shot, as they can sometimes resolve network-related problems.

If you have already run those commands and the issue persists, let me know, and we'll explore other potential solutions together.

    Best regards,

    John J.D.

    Hello John,

Thanks for responding. I completely forgot to include which browsers I am using. My main go-to browser is Firefox and I use Google Chrome pretty regularly as well. I am getting the same results with both.

I just tried what you suggested and nothing different - I attempted to pull up Amazon in 'private mode' from all browsers (Firefox, Chrome & Edge) and got the same results.

FYI - I use CCleaner to clear my Cookies & Cache every time I restart or shut down my computer.

    Appreciate the assistance!

    WB
