Shows in device manager but doesn't work. When I try updating drivers from device manager it doesn't say it is out of date.

    Hello, thanks for the reply

I tried both methods and they did not work. Even websites say they can't detect the camera.

Please provide some more details to help to identify what is causing the problem. Which is the full model of your laptop?

Also, attach a screenshot of the System Information page:

1-Right-click on Start then click on Run

2-Type: msinfo32 and click on OK

And a screenshot of the version of the driver installed.

1-Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager

    2-Click to spend the "Cameras"

3-Right-click on the camera driver and select properties

4-Take a screenshot of the general and driver tab

Hi, user131. I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

You can use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant at this link to check if there is a new version of the driver on the Intel website.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support...

Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

Another thing that could cause this problem is the privacy settings.

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

2-Click on Privacy then click on Camera

3-In Allow access to the camera on this device, select "Change" and make sure "Camera access for this device" is turned on

You can see more information at this link.
