I have Windows 11 and have just installed a 2nd monitor. It is displaying the taskbar and wallpaper, but isn't being detected. AMD Radeon graphics, have checked for latest drivers for graphics and for both monitors, all up to date. Have also checked for updates and there was one and I have installed it. Restarted twice. Primary monitor Lenovo L28U-35 secondary monitor Samsung SyncMaster P2350. HDMI for Primary and DVI for Secondary.

Hi Dhanam.... thanks for your prompt reply. I'm going to look silly now, but in the interests of honesty, unfortunately I must. It was working all along, but I couldn't see it. The problem was that I had the orientation of the monitors in Display Settings wrong. So when I moved my mouse to the left to go onto the secondary monitor, it wasn't going any further than the left edge of the Primary one.. When I moved it to the right, it appeared on the second. So I had 1 and 2 the wrong way around. The reason I didn't think it was being detected, was because it had already detected the second one..... it was as though I was asking it to detect a third one, which wasn't there. Hope that all makes sense, and I apologise for wasting your time.

Many thanks again for your quick reply and helpful advice....

    Steve

Hi Steve, I am Dhanam, here to help you at the Microsoft Community.

Uninstall your display driver and restart your system.

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, and then select it from the list of results.

Select the arrow to expand Display adapters.

Under Display adapters, right-click the adapter, then select Properties.

Select the Delete the driver software for this device check box, and then select OK.

Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
