oh yes, I found this post earlier and tried them out. They work based on changing the value of the reg file. they will work fine when i reboot or logout accout. But in this case I need to turn it on and off without resetting or logging out. That makes the job take longer
how to turn off/on touch screen without restart?
Hi, I need help with a problem I have on windows 11. I know how to enable/disable touch screens on windows but every time I turn them on/off, windows requires a system restart. That didn't happen in the past. I have researched this problem online but there is not a single article that mentions or solves this problem.
The device I'm using is Asus ROG FlowX 16 (2023) with mpp.2.0 support. I asked Asus support but got no answer for this.
I have tried resetting the system 4 times but the problem still occurs. I guess it's a Window 11 problem.
If anyone has any information on this, please let me know. Thank you!

2023-06-04T04:24:19+00:00 hello Paulo. Thanks for your help. Yes, I know how to turn off touch screen by HID but every time I do it, the computer asks to restart. That makes me very uncomfortable because not all devices require that. i will try that with terminal to see if it works. also, can you help me to create a shortcut for that terminal command? because it is not always possible to search and copy or paste those lines into the terminal. it takes a long time but my job need is to turn it on and off many times for this task.
Regards!

You should be able to use either option in the tutorial below to disable the touch screen without having to restart.

2023-06-03T10:39:01+00:00 Hi Chien, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.
Does this mean you have already tried disabling it from the Device Manager?

If that's the method you're doing, you may try disabling it using Windows Terminal and see if that will not ask for a reboot
