I do have problem with USB tethering When I connect my phone(ios) via cable its works fine for some time . To be more specific if am browsing or watching some videos there is no problem otherwise when am downloading file size more than around a 2-3GB the bandwidth will go down to zero from 25MB/s from perfectly working to 0 and shows no internet while i can still take a speed test on my phone while it’s connected. To re-establish this connection on my pc i need to reconnect or dissable and reenable the network adapter in change adapter settings or turn off and on the tethering toggle . So when I troubleshoot it brings up with an issue in gateway and I tried fixing that didn’t help , and i also unchecked the power save management or what ever in the adapter settings i don’t remember. So what i need is an uninterrupted usb tethering so help me with thisPhone :iphone 13Plan : jio 5G Unlimited data

    Hi Cucia,

I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with USB tethering. There could be several reasons why your bandwidth drops to zero while downloading large files. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

First, make sure both your iPhone and Windows 10 are up to date with the latest software updates. Next, try using a different USB cable to rule out any potential problems with the current cable. Faulty cables can disrupt the connection and cause intermittent issues.

In your Windows 10 settings, go to the "Control Panel" and navigate to "Device Manager." Find your network adapter, right-click on it, and select "Properties." Make sure the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked. This will prevent power-saving settings from interfering with your USB tethering.

You can also try disabling USB selective suspend. In the "Power Options" section of the "Control Panel," select your active power plan and click on "Change advanced power settings." Look for "USB settings" and set "USB selective suspend setting" to "Disabled." This should prevent USB power-saving settings from causing interruptions.

If the issue persists, you can try resetting the network settings on your iPhone. Go to "Settings," then "General," and choose "Reset." Tap on "Reset Network Settings." Keep in mind that this will reset your Wi-Fi and cellular settings, so you'll need to set them up again.

Please keep me posted on your progress and let me know if you have any further questions or concern.

    Best regards,

    John J.D.

Thanks for reaching out . Mr. john I had already tried these basic troubleshoot that you mentioned and also auto dhcp to manual dns and ipv4 . its all ended up in same spot . if it was not working completely its will be easy to find the exact reason and solve it .am here in a different situation its working but not so long . the funny part is I can browse, watch videos , small downloads and even torrent with bad seeds like 3-5MB/s all day (i dint tried more than that speed ) there wont be an issue with that .when am in to downloading huge files and using the full bandwidth then it will drop down to zero after some time and the entire internet access of my computer is gone. then what I do is restarting the remote ethernet adapter of my device (disable then re enable) to gain access to the internet. there isn't any issue at all if i use the hotspot and WIFI . but cable has a stable higher bandwidth internet that's why am here for a solution
