I really miss the desktop option like in Windows 7 where after making a mess on my desktop I could start a new one and it was EMPTY!!
But to my complete astonishment and asking chatGPT, Bard and Google Microsoft thinks this is very handy to have all your desktops looking the same as the first one! Wow... how is this better?
My whole screen is full of 3D files, folders, texts and other things because I like to work from the desktop but I have multiple disciplines to do, like Photoshop, 3D printing, etc etc.
It's a complete mess!! Even after trying to put folders into folders into other folders and not be able to find anything anymore. I need to SEE it!
Please make an option to start an EMPTY fresh desktop like it used to be instead of making the desktop feature only usable to a handful of people who have nothing on their desktop or working from it.

Sorry but I don't see the point of separate desktops - they actually do not give anything useful at all. I want to be able to switch to a desktop for personal or work and it have different icons on the desktop and different instances of edge/google etc . What is presented here is the same desktop recreated with just a different background picture - which is pointless
Mr. Arthur, I fully agree, that the Windows 11 multiple desktops are useless. In Windows 7 I had a desktop for my studies, one for video games, one for Adobe MS, and one for TTRPG's. I don't get what the purpose is in Windows 11 to have multiple desktops that display the same thing on every desktop. Either remove the useless feature and get rid of a little bloat or put the work in to make it useful for power users who could utilize multiple desktops that could be set up differently.

I understand that you are experiencing inconvenience when using Windows 11 Multiple Desktops.
The Windows 11 Multiple Desktops feature makes it easy to open different windows in different desktops, and multiple desktops are great for keeping unrelated ongoing projects organised, or for quickly switching desktops before a meeting.
However, the feature only allows different desktops to open windows that are relatively independent of each other, and files and folders on the desktop are fully synchronised between the different desktops.
This is a problem that Windows was designed to have. I can understand your need to create a new desktop that is completely blank, and I have taken this issue through internal channels for feedback. I also recommend that you provide feedback.
Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.
Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.
