Choppy and pixelated picture when casting from Windows to TV screen

I am trying to cast (Windows + K) my laptop screen on my TV screen, and the picture is choppy and pixelated whenever there's motion on screen. My laptop is an LG Gram 17 with 16:10 aspect ratio. My TV is a TCL Roku 65R635-CA 4K with 16:9 aspect ratio. When I cast, the display settings on the two displays are as below -

  1. On the internal display (my laptop), the desktop mode is 1920x1080, 60hz and the active signal mode is 2560x1600, 60hz (only one option of refresh rate - 60hz)
  2. On the second display (my TV), the desktop mode is 1920x1080, 30hz and the active signal mode is 1920x1080, 30hz (three options for refresh rate in the dropdown - 30/25/24 hz)

Please help me solve the poor quality image issue.

    Hi , Bhaskar.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Alright, make the transmission go to the Intel Commande Center Look for the Display tab and check if another resolution option appears with Hz.

Also keep the Laptop in performance mode.

Start Menu > Settings > System > Power Off > Battery Mode. Select High Perfomance.

It can also be a problem wi-fi connection probably recommended to use 5g connection to maintain quality in the transmission.

    Hi Ivan,

Thanks so much for helping me with this, I really appreciate it. I tried out the steps you suggested. On the Intel Command Centre, I didn't find any other resolution, I did find a setting called 'Scale' though, and it had three options - Centered, Stretched, Maintain Aspect Ratio. I tried all three, and with your second suggestion of putting the laptop on High Performance mode, the picture seems to have improved significantly. Every once in a while, there's still a gentle pixelation or choppiness, but I think I can live with that. My internet speed is 1gbps, so I haven't experimented with that so far. This was really helpful, Ivan. I hope that last remaining bit of pixelation also goes away and I have a neat little image on screen. Once again, thanks so much!

    Cheers,

    Bhaskar,

    Hi , Bhaskar.

I understand, it may also be the issue of the wi-fi connection, but if it improved, I'm happy to have helped.
