Unconfirmed download error

I'm getting an unconfirmed crdownload in my downloads folder when i try to download a file from a site. The crdownload file doesn't go away and the download does not complete. My colleagues have the same problem when they tried it in Edge. I'm guessing this is a file explorer issue?

    Hi Fred,

It is definitely not the file. It downloads in Microsoft Edge for me. Unfortunately it't a company link, and i can't share the site but here is the screenshot of what it looks like-

Here's a link to a similar issue(I think they are the same), which leads me to believe this could be a Windows issue- https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/edge-and-chrome-not-renaming-crdownload-http/090fcdaf-93df-426f-a37a-ae4e892f660f

    Hello DownloadIssue

    My name is Fred.

Probably could be a file on the site, try in another browser to confirm.

Do you have the link to try on my side?

    Best Regards,

    Fred

Could be but each case is different, that's why I asked you to try another browser, also if you are on a corporate network, it may be more complex to find the problem due to network policies or firewall server, in this case, I recommend you to post your case in the Tech Community forum that is focused on companies and IT support:
