USB has worked in the passed, no reason it shouldn't now.

Been over and over this.
I start HP printer installer app for HP Officejet All In One 5255
Win 10 keeps flashing a 'USB Device Not Recognized' and HP Setup keeps saying 'Printer Not Connected' after I specify USB connection.
I have already 'Stopped' Win Sys 32 PRINTER, Spooler.
Everything tried. Unplugged power and USB, wait for prompts, still 'Printer Not Connected.'
NOTHING WORKS!!!

2023-08-30T03:41:46+00:00 I switched the USB to a different slot -back of computer- made no difference. Also, computer never registered 'found new device' when I unplugged and replugged power and USB cords to back of printer.

Do the following take a screenshot of the device manager in the open usb controllers tab.
You also have the option of configuring your printer via Wifi on your computer if you wish..

If it is showing as an Unknown USB Device, it could be a failure in the USB cable that is not transmitting data correctly or the USB port is showing a failure.
Did the test by changing the printer's USB cable ?
