My computer is supposed to run 24/7, acting as both a file and media server. However, it often shuts down. Are there logs or other stored information I can use to determine

  1. When it is shutting down
  2. Why it is shutting down

Please note, I do have power settings set to never sleep.

    Hi justinCTU,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click your Start Button, then just type event and from the resulting list, open the Event Viewer.

On the left in the Event Viewer, go to Windows logs - System, in there you should be able to trace if something is wrong and causing your PC to shut down.
