Quickly switching between two microphone inputs

Hi,

i currently have a RODE NT-1A connected to my PC which i mainly use for recording my voice.

Multiple times a day, when I leave my desk, I have to switch to the mic on my headset.

Since i used discord as my main communication platform for the past few months this wasn't a problem.

I could just right click the mute button in discord and got a list of input devices to choose from.

I stopped using discord now and the software I currently use doesn't have this feature so I wanted to ask is somebody knows a easy and quick way to change between two input devices as the windows default device. Going to the windows sound settings every time is easy but definitely not quick. (and I don't want to have the settings window open all the time).

Thanks,

Leon

    Hello Leon,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

You cannot do this natively in windows but this third party utility can help you set up a hotkey for each recording device.
