Hello, Byron Andres Melendez Rojo
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with your laptop. It seems that the error you are seeing is related to the System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) certificate. This is a certificate that is used to authenticate your device and enable features such as virtual private network (VPN) and other 802.1 certificate-based authentication. Taken together, this may be a known issue with specific AMD chips and current Windows 11
The error message indicates that your device is trying to enroll for a SCEP certificate from a server that does not exist or is not reachable. The server name is “amd-keyid-8a0578cf56146fea399af903fb5b0ac36eb2786a.microsoftaik.azure.net” and it returns a 404 Not Found error when your device tries to access it. This could be due to a misconfiguration of the SCEP settings on your device or on the server side.
There are a few possible solutions that you can try to fix this issue:
- Check if you have the latest Windows updates installed on your device. Some updates may address issues with the SCEP certificate enrollment or the DPAPI decryption
- Check if you have the latest AMD chipset drivers installed on your device. You can download them from the AMD website
- Check if you have enabled fTPM (firmware Trusted Platform Module) in your BIOS settings. This is a security feature that helps protect your device and its data. You can access the BIOS settings by pressing F2 or Del when your device boots up. Look for an option called fTPM or AMD fTPM switch and make sure it is enabled
- Check if you have any firewall or antivirus software that may be blocking the SCEP certificate enrollment process. You may need to add an exception for the server name or disable them temporarily while you enroll for the certificate.
Also, the following is a reference to a thread from the AMD community, if these don't work for you, you may need to go back to Windows 10, but this requires performing a clean install and seeing how everything behaves in Windows 10. If you are not sure how to go back to Windows 10, I recommend that you perform a good data backup and negotiate with someone you trust before working together to go back to Windows 10.
