So, it started today, it happens randomly but often at the same time. It doesn't give me a chance to screenshot but what happens is that a tab starts to load and pops up in the middle of my screen even if I'm watching YouTube, and it closes immediately. It doesn't give me a chance to close it or try to fix it and I searched for a similar instance of this happening, but it seems to not have been covered.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with a tab quickly opening and closing in the middle of your screen. While it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause without more information, there are a few general steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

    1. Check Browser Extensions: Sometimes, browser extensions can behave unexpectedly and cause issues like the one you described. Try disabling or removing any recently installed or suspicious browser extensions and see if the problem persists.
    2. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Cached data and cookies can sometimes cause glitches. Clear your browser's cache and cookies to see if that resolves the issue.
    3. Run a Malware Scan: Malware or adware can also cause unexpected behavior in browsers. Run a thorough malware scan using a reputable antivirus or antimalware software to ensure your system is clean.
    4. Try a Different Browser: If the issue is specific to one browser, try using a different browser to see if the problem persists. This can help determine whether the problem is related to the browser itself or your system.
    5. Check Keyboard and Mouse: Sometimes, hardware issues can trigger unintended actions. Ensure that your keyboard and mouse are functioning properly and not sending erroneous signals.
    6. Inspect Recently Installed Software: Think about any new software or applications you might have installed recently. If the issue started around the same time as a new installation, that software might be causing conflicts.

Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards
