Microsoft Flight Simulator causes my pc to crash.

So what happens is when I play Microsoft Flight Simulator it causes my PC to crash after a minute or two of playing it. The way it crashes is both of my two monitors turn off and the fans from my pc start going at high speeds. MFS doesn't only crash when I play it but it also crashes when I am playing another game, so just because the game is installed it's also having the same effects on other games even if MFS isn't turned on. I thought maybe because the game is too powerful and my pc can't hold it even though I got an RTX 3070 and i7. So I tried many methods and none worked. So I restarted my pc fully (So basically a full restart of my pc where it deletes everything) and then after that it still didn't work. So I tried some things on youtube and one of them said go to steam and press on verify integrity files. Pressed that and it said nine hundred some thing thousand files have been updated. I go back in the game and I have to re-install everything. So I thought before installing it I should first contact you guys so when I install it back I install it right. So what I did is I installed another similar game that would take up about the same amount of space in my pc and also the same amount of power to be used and tried to play it and tested all kinds of stuff (with MFS uninstalled). It worked just fine. But before this restart and everything when MFS was installed it crashed on whatever game I was playing after 1-2 minutes. Now when it's not in my pc anymore it doesn't. So basically I am unable to even have MFS installed as that meaning I can't play MFS because of the crashes but neither any other games. For now it's uninstalled as I explained earlier.

I'm clueless of what to do and I need to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Alright So I got the game and I've tried these steps, but I only haven't tried Step 5 because I researched online in detail about the ISO thing and it came up and said if I'm gonna download that I will have to buy a new windows 10 license even if I just had one right?

If that's the case do you have any other methods I could try?

    Thank you for that.

I'll now re install the game just so you know, this might take up to 8 hours or even more so it will take a while. If you have any tips on how to boost the download speed or anything that would speed up the process let me know!

    Thanks.

    Hey! Thanks for replying!

    Step 1: Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3324)

I have already tried step 1 before.

Step 2: I have tried that before but by rebooting my device you mean completly or just normally? Also trying to install it again you mean the game?

    Step 3: Done

Step 4: The link is broken.

Step 5: I will try it.

Before I continue with trying steps should I first re install the game back now?

    Hey, how you doing?

Thank you for contacting us and welcome to the Microsoft Community.

My name is Vitor. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

I'm very sorry for this happening.

    Please follow the guidelines below.

Go to windows update and click on get updates.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win...

After updating, see what version your windows is that way, and tell me.

The version consists of 4 digits(22H2).

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402739...

And then go to the Microsoft Store, Library > Downloads & Updates > Get Updates for the Xbox App and Game Services.

Update everything in both places, restart the PC and let me know if it worked.

If there is no update available or the error still persists. Follow the guidelines below.

    Step 2

Try reinstalling the "Game Services" app on your Windows 10/11 device.

Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen and select (Administrator) Windows PowerShell .

In Administrator: On the Windows PowerShell screen, copy and paste the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, copy and paste the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on this page and select Yes when prompted for User Account Control (UAC).

Reboot your device and try to install it again.

    Step 3

If the procedure doesn't work, try the following:

Go to Start > Settings. In this window, click on the Applications button.

From here, type in the search box, 'Games'. This should show the 'Gaming Services' application which is about 18MB or more.

    Right-click and click Advanced Options.

First of all, try the "Repair" option. If this still doesn't resolve the issue, click on the "Reset" option.

    Restart the PC.

    Step 4

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

If some Windows functions are not working or if Windows crashes, use System File Checker to scan Windows and restore files.

While the steps below may seem daunting at first glance, just follow them in order, step by step, and we'll try to get you on the right path.

Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)

To do so, follow these steps from this official article published at the link below on the Microsoft support page:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-t... ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

    Step 5

If none of these procedures work, try to restore your PC's operating system through the ISO image tool, using this tool you will be able to keep your installed games and files.

Download Windows ISO from this website.

    http://aka.ms/DownloadW10ISO

    First download the ISO

Open the ISO image tool, inside there will be a file called SETUP.exe, select update, download it from the cloud and choose "keep game and apps"

It's pretty simple, this will update your files, without losing anything.

If you are using Windows 10:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

If you are using Windows 11:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Download > Open ISO Image Tool > Open SETUP.exe > Select Update > Download from Cloud > Keep Games and Apps.

If none of these steps work, let us know so we can explore other options. I'm here to help you solve this problem. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or provide additional details that may be helpful.

    I will be waiting.

    Thanks

    Vitor S.
