TvsuCommandLauncher.exe persistent message re. "failed to start"

After four different "servicings" by Geek squad, this message still comes up on my Legion 5-15ACH6 Laptop

( Type 82JW R7 8G 512G 11H Intel i7 )

They set up 3 partitions C: D: E: though the one for software (C:) is not large enough...

"Lenovo error code:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\TvsuCommandLauncher.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

Each service was to install my copy of Office, returned to me as successful.

Yet I still don't have it, and I've given up on Geek Squad.

When I type sxstrace.exe in the Windows search bar, it does not come up either.

My online searches about tvsucommandlauncher.exe revealed conflicting messages about whether to keep it or delete it.

Have to wait 30 days for Lenovo help after reinstating the warranty.

Is there any way to resolve this and get on with using my "new" laptop?

    Sorry, I was offline.

Yes, you can re-partition that drive yourself

Right click the E drive partiton and select 'Delete Volume'

Then right click the C drive partition and select Extend, ten select an amount, use the calculation 1000 = 1GB, so if you want to extend the C partiton by 50GB, enter 50000 and apply that

Then right click the remaining 'Unallocated Space' and choose 'New - Simple Volume' and accept the defaults, that will recreate the E drive partition.

Re-installing the Vantage software from the support page for your device, should not bring back that error.

With regards to room on your drive, I need to see your drive, right click your Start button and open Disk Management, please provide a screenshot of that window.

Thank you for the screenshot, right click and delete those two processes and restart (not shut down) your PC

That will stop the popup errors.

    Hi Dave,

    Thank you for your reply.

No, an uninstall and simple Restart does not the error.

    H PJ,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you temporarily uninstall the pre-installed Lenovo Vantage software from your new laptop and restart (not shut Down) the laptop, does that stop the errors?

If it does, then go to the support page for your laptop on the Lenovo website, to download and re-install the latest version of that utility they provide.
