Laptop says that it is plugged in with "0% available" despite being unplugged and having charge.

This started a day or two ago, but even when my laptop isn't plugged in to charge, the battery icon on the taskbar says that it is charging, and it constantly states that there is 0% battery remaining. The image I have attached (taken when the laptop was NOT plugged in) shows what pops up when I click on the battery icon, and when I hover over it, it says: "0% available (plugged in)".

I have also uploaded some battery information which may be of use.

So far, I haven't noticed any other adverse effects and everything seems to be in good working order. The battery, despite only claiming to have 0%, does hold charge as I have been working on it, unplugged, for the past couple of hours.

I have tried reinstalling the battery drivers and checked for Windows updates multiple times, both of which have not changed the situation. As my device is a Lenovo X1 Yoga G3, I cannot easily remove the battery to perform a battery reset, as I have been advised to do on other posts like this, with similar but not the same issues I am experiencing.

I bought the laptop from Back Market less than a week ago and so I have some sort of warranty and or repairs for the first 30 days or the 1st year (I have not really looked into it as I'd rather not have to send it back or for repairs if I don't have to) but am wondering if this is the best option if the battery is now faulty or something.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help!!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

I do not think there is anything wrong with your laptop or battery, it is just not registering correctly in Windows.

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

    Expand the Batteries section

For each of the two devices in that section:

    Right click and choose Disable

Then right click and choose Enable

Close Device Manager and restart (not shut down) your laptop, then check if Windows registers the battery charge status correctly

This is some battery information which may be of use.

And this is what shows up when I click on the battery icon.

Thanks but I managed to solve the issue by letting the laptop run out of battery completely, leave it dead for a couple of hours, then charge it for 2 hours and I unplugged it before I powered it back on and voila! Thanks for your help, if it happens again for some reason I'll be sure to try this.
