There's a temporary problem with the service

Like so many people on here, none of whom seem to have received a satisfactory response, I can't get a password email sent. Every time I do I get the message "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later." I've been trying for 3 days, still with the same message. I've tried on three different browsers and on three different machines, including two that have had a complete Win 10 rebuild. How do I get a password reset email please? I can't even phone you because you've stopped phone support and I can't find online chat anywhere. There's nothing in Help that helps and I've tried everything I can find in the community

    Unfortunately Prakash the Help doesn't show unless you log in, so I can't do that. Thanks anyway.

    Hello,

    I am Prakash and happy to help you with your question, I'm a Microsoft consumer like you.

    This may happen after too many failed attempts and Microsoft is definitely restricting your IP address or device (or both).

    Please also try to utilize a totally different device, such as a phone or laptop.

    Now all you need to do is follow the same steps to unblock your account after giving some amount of time to your account and everything will be up and running.
