Last Build of Windows 7

Can anyone clear this... im using windows 7 in one of my laptop... it shows the build number as 7601:service pack 1..Is this Final or Anything new available?

    That's correct. There was no "build" of Windows 7 after Service Pack 1.

    For Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, Microsoft used "service packs" for major updates Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft used the "build" terminology instead.

    I suspect that your "seniors" want you to install all of the updates to Windows 7. If you need to do that, you will have to do some of that manually before Windows Update will work. It's been a while since I was familiar with the details and the links I have are outdated and no longer work, so when (not if) you run into problems updating Windows 7, please ask a new question including the pertinent details, including error messages.

    There has not been a new build since 2011. Ask them what they are talking about.

    There was only one Service Pack for Windows 7, but there were many Windows Updates that were released subsequently. Those updates are not reflected in the results from winver.exe

    This is what was nicknamed "Service Pack 2"

    It wasn't, but was called that among professionals.

    Thanks For your Reply... Currently in my organisation seniors told me to update windows 7 to latest build...even i applied update,the build number is not changing..
