Create Windows 11 System Repair Disk and a Recovery Drive

I created a Windows "System Repair disk" on an external USB DVD disk, using the Control Panel (selected Backup and Restore Windows 7).

I also created a "Recovery Drive" on an external USB Flash drive, from the "Settings" screen.

When I look at the contents on both of them, I would have expected the information to be the same, but they are different.

What is the difference between them ?

Which one would I use to recover from a problem (like if my system (Desktop) would not boot up) ?

thank you

    Hello RockyDean,

They will basically be the same containing WinRE unless you checked the Back up system files to the recovery drive box while creating the recovery drive.
