Realtek Audio Drivers & Control Panel Not Working

Since updating my audio drivers, I've experienced problem after problem with anything related to audio devices. Some details about the situation:
The motherboard is an ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WiFi operating on Windows 10 x64
The Realtek audio driver version is 6.0.9238.1

1) Realtek HD Audio Manager is gone

The driver update replaced the excellently working Audio Manager with something called the Realtek Audio Control Panel, which had less features and far worse reliability. I've tried to find a download or an executable for the old Audio Manager, but no driver set seems to download it. There is no RtkNGUI64.exe or even the C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA directory in the Realtek folder.
Additionally, the Audio Control Panel seemed to work worse and worse after each restart. The equalizer would no longer show up, and eventually all audio devices were simply set to 0 volume and disabled, despite them actually still functioning.

2) Realtek Audio Control Panel fails to download

After uninstalling the Audio Control Panel to try and solve the above problems with it, it no longer downloads at all from the Microsoft App Store. The download fails every time with the error code 0x803fb005.

3) Headphones are not recognized in the rear jack

After another clean reinstall of the newest drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website, the Windows Sound Control Panel only lists a single device which reportedly uses the Front and Rear panel 3.5mm jacks. This is not true, as my speakers are connected to the single jack in the front panel, and my headset is connected to the Line Out and Mic jacks in the back panel. Unplugging and plugging the headset back in has no effect.

As I mentioned in issue nr 2, I cannot download and install the Audio Control Panel at all. Downloading the drivers again has not fixed this. I appreciate your effort, but this answer does not help me.

    Hi , xedativo.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

In this case and because the two are on the same flow line you would have to change with the options in the image below: if you have reinstalled the DCH version of the drive on the Asus website.

You have access to the advanced settings of the device, uncheck the first option and mark it according to the image below in the realtek audio console.

    Hi , xedative.

That's good, it worked partially, do the following, access the advanced settings of the Realtek audio console and uncheck the option

Disable front connector detection and check the option Enable Automatic pop up dialog for connector.

Then go to the sound panel and go to the levels tab for each and check if this mark is mutated.

I have Asus B550M TUF PRO WIFI II and from the same line as yours I had similar problems.

Thank you so much for this reply. It has partly resolved my issue. I was able to download the Realtek Audio Console; the headphone jack is now recognized and I can swap between speakers (front jack) and the headset (rear jack) through the Windows Sound Control Panel.

However, the Realtek Audio Console still does not function.* All recognized audio devices have their volume set to 0 and cannot be selected (checkmark left of the Mute checkbox). The individual devices' options have no effect on the played audio either. It looks like this:

*The general settings for the Audio Console do work; it's how I was able to make the rear and front jacks play simultaneously.

Additionally, the Enhancements tab is still missing from the Windows Sound Control Panel. This was a feature for all previous drivers, so it's unlikely that my device has suddenly lost support for it—unless someone at Realtek has made some very stupid decisions. This is where the Enhancement tab should be, providing access to various audio effects such as Loudness Equalization:

    Hi , xedative.

    1. Download the DDU from the link below and extract it to a folder on your computer.

    https://www.wagnardsoft.com/DDU/download/DDU%20...

    1. Once uninstalled, open the display driver uninstall app, enter Device:Audio and Realtek Model, and then select the "Clean and Restart"
    2. Download and reinstall the audio driver from the link below.

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4...(WI-FI)/Realtek_Audio_Driver_V6.0.8832.1_WIN10_64-bit.zip?model=TUF%20GAMING%20B550-PLUS%20(WI-FI)

Try to use realtek legacy driver to see if install realtek Audio Control.
