I can't find Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling on Windows 10! Please help.

I don't like that my system uses about 10 percent of my GPU at all times. I see online that there's an option to turn it off but I can't find it in my Graphics settings. I only see Variable Refresh Rate in my settings. I have a 7900xtx and an i7-13700k.

    Hi , ShutUpWill.

From what I understand the Radeon cards have GPU Scheduling via Hardware so it is not possible to disable the windows gpu scheduling because it is no longer used.

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers, create/change DWORD HwSchMode to 2

Hello Ivan! Thank you for your response. I navigated to that location and I was unable to locate HwSchMode in the registry. Is there a way to add this?

    Hi , ShutUpWill.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

You can disable GPU scheduling through the registry.

    Open the Start Menu.

Type regedit and press Enter to open the Windows Registry Editor.

    Navigate to the following location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

Double-click on the HwSchMode from the right pane.

Set the value to 1 and click on OK.

    Hope this helps.

Hello Ivan, sorry for the delayed response. I have followed these steps and the option still remains hidden and now my "system" process is also using my GPU. As I was playing Cyberpunk 2077, I noticed that about 17% of my GPU was being used by "Client Server Runtime Process" "Desktop Windows Manager" and "System." My background applications were all closed except for Discord and Steam. I have also disabled GPU acceleration for Steam as well as Discord, but the problem persists. Please help if possible.
