Hello there,

On my Asus laptop that runs on windows 11 I tried to perform a clean boot https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd because my Bluetooth device couldn’t connect https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/that-didnt-work-make-sure-your-bluetooth-device-is/0541dc86-119b-45c5-a4de-1d5070cf56b4 and I have no idea where I went wrong but it doesn’t let me log in via pin. I don’t have an additional laptop.

If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Another option that you can try to enter the Windows Recovery Environment is to repeatedly turn your device off, and then on.

1-Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

2-Press the power button again to turn on your device.

3-On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the manufacturer’s logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

4-Press the power button again to turn on your device.

5-When Windows restarts, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

6-Press the power button again to turn on your device.

7-Allow your device to restart into Automatic Repair, and select Advanced options to enter winRE.

8-Now that you are in winRE, you can try the System Restore and boot in safe mode

Thank you so much this fixed my device. Nothing on my device got deleted. But instead of going into safe mode I just restored my system to a previous save file.

    Hi, Ryder,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

You might not have hidden the Microsoft services on step 3 and have disabled all Microsoft services. You can use the system restore to restore your computer to a previous point before the problem.

1-Restart your computer while holding the SHIFT button

2-The Advanced Startup menu will open on the boot.

    3-Go to Troubleshoot.

4-Now, go to Advanced Options > System restore

5-Select a restore point and click on next to restore

Another option is to boot in safe mode and enable all services again.

1-Restart your computer while holding the SHIFT button

2-The Advanced Startup menu will open on the boot.

    3-Go to Troubleshoot.

4-Now, go to Advanced Options > Startup Settings.

    5-Click the Restart button.

6-A window with various startup options will show up.

7-Press 5 or F5 on your keyboard to choose Enable Safe Mode with Networking.

8-Wait for your computer to boot.

If both procedures fail, you will need to use another computer to create a bootable USB with the Windows installation and perform a custom installation of Windows.

As long as you do not format the C: drive in the Setup, you will not lose your data, but they will be moved to another location. After the installation, you can find a folder Windows.old in the root directory of C: drive. All your files are saved there.

Note: This procedure only will keep the personal files, all software and apps need to be reinstalled.

1-Create a USB device with an installation image.

You can create using the media creation tool, download it on this link.

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...

2-Enter on BIOS/UEFI and change to boot from the USB device.

    3-Click "Install Now".

4- Type your product key or skip it. Usually, your computer will be activated automatically when it's connected to a network if you install the same version of Windows 10 as before.

5- Select the installation type "Custom".

6- Select the C: drive and click Next to proceed. Then, wait patiently until the installation is complete 100%.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
