Unable to get out of airplane mode

Recently, I got a new computer because my old one was bad, so I was excited to get this new one. However, when I first opened it up, I noticed that it was set to 'airplane mode' for some reason. I searched everywhere in settings, and there was no 'turn off airplane mode' button as most websites suggested, so I was unable to do that either.

I followed multiple websites guides, such as (trying) to use the Windows Action Center, disabling and re-enabling something that would decide if it could connect to the internet at all, and even making it so it's impossible to even access airplane mode at all through a command window, but nothing works at all.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? It's a Windows 10.

    Hey Christopher!

My name is Ravi, an independent advisor and expert user. I am happy to help you. :)

I understand how excited you might be about your new computer.

For every computer, you can turn off the Airplane Mode in two ways.

1). Select the Network icon on the taskbar, then select Airplane mode.

2). Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode, then select the first toggle for On or Off.

If the button isn't there, try using a keyboard shortcut.

1). Press Fn + "key with the radio tower" and hold them for a while. If this shortcut works you should see Airplane mode turned off message on your screen.

Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.

    Cheers,

    Ravi

Unfortunately that does not work. This is what I see. The computer is unable to see any wifi networks. That is the real problem I am trying to fix.

Sadly, the option to deselect Airplane Mode on the taskbar is greyed out/unclickable, so I cannot do the first option you suggested.

    As for the second one, when I open the Network & Internet settings, there is no 'Airplane Mode' tab or button. What there is has been provided as a photo;

Apologies for the low quality, all I could use was my phone because I wouldn't be able to send the screenshot.

As for the keyboard shortcut, the keyboard I have does not have a button with a Radio Tower on it. I found that it's actually known as 'F12', but even when I hold that for a few seconds all it does is change the color of the lights on my keyboard.

If you have any other ideas or suggestions, I would be glad to hear them.

    Thank you for your assitance.

    Thanks for sharing a screenshot.

Yes, the system doesn't seem to have a WiFi driver.

You can go to your computer's manufacturer's website and download the WiFi driver. After that, you can install it on your computer.
