My gateway laptop will not boot and is stuck on the gateway logo, I can get into bios but changing any settings either just sends me back to bios or restarts the computer doing nothing. I have tried to change boot options but nothing has worked and I am not very familiar with how to navigate the BIOS. Please help and thank you!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Remove the power cable from your laptop.
If possible, remove the battery from the laptop.
Press and hold the power button on the case of your laptop for 30 seconds.
Wait 30 minutes
Reconnect the power cable and if you did remove the battery, put that back in.
Start your laptop, does it boot into Windows?
Okay in bios is there a hard drive listed at all? Sounds like the hard drive is not responding. A few options is to hard reboot by pressing the power button for 10secs Or use the battery pin reset button with power unplugged. Last option is to pull out the hard drive and put it back in. If the laptop starts backup your important cat pictures right away.
I am unable to open the laptop and a power down did not work. Boot option 1 is hard disk and i have tried every kind of boot option does nothing for me.
If those steps did not get your laptop booting, then there is some problem either hardware or with your BIOS and you will need to b ring it to a PC Repair Shop, they may need to re-flash your BIOS and check your hardware.
I am unable at the moment to pop out the battery but I did the steps and windows will not boot. What else can I do?
