I would like to download chrome because I want to be able to access my gmail from the website which doesn't work on edge i just get a 404 error. you'll probably say just use outlook but a lot of the time the emails i need dont come as soon as i need them and if they are urgent the only way i can get them is directly from gmail, which i cant access. I had another laptop which i had installed google chrome on but on my new one its not in the Microsoft store and i think the download button is blocked or something because even on my best wifi i press it and absolutely nothing happens. I also need this because i cant sign into google services through links and i think thats probably from the blocks. could someone let me know if there is another way to download google chrome on my window 11 from edge or somewhere else because its really annoying how stingy they are if they've actually blocked it.

also ignore the terrible spelling and punctuation, im typing very quickly and actually cant be bothered so as long as you can read it then great

I only have an option for privacy, search and services and within that under the security stuff I cant see anything to do with security defaults. I even typed that into the search bar and it said no results so.

also i probably didnt note that the downloading of google chrome is actually more important and judging that you didnt answer anything on that im taking that theres nothing i can do about it? would appreciate a full answer on the questions asked thanks

    Hello Katelin

    My name is Dayarys.

Google is not blocked on the Edge, the code 404 means that a server could not find a web page requested by the client, in the case that Microsoft Edge limits a site you must read a message that says blocked when you want to open a page.

To solve this try to clean the cache in the browser:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-e...

Also, reset the security settings in Microsoft Edge

Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the window.

    Click on "Settings".

Scroll down and click on "Privacy and security".

Under the "Security" section, click on "Security defaults".

Click on the "Restore defaults" button.

If the issue persists, follow the general Edge troubleshooting steps here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-e...

    Sincerely,

    Dayarys
