Hello so i would like to know if is it safe to delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001 in the regedit or not . If it is not can you tell me why ? Because i saw that controlset001 is only a backup of currentcontrolset so i though that i deleting controlset001 it will be recreated by the system after restarting my windows 10.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

No it is not safe to delete the ControlSet001 key (folder) that is used by the Windows recovery environment if your PC has problems starting up your PC, it is basically like the last known good boot setting in previous versions of Windows, most likely Windows will recreate that key when Windows restarts, but why do you want to delete that key?

It is best not to delete that key and there is no valid reason to delete it, Windows updates that key on a regular basis, let Windows manage that key.
