Can I get Java for free if I bought Bedrock before they were bundled?

So I own Bedrock edition and I heard that since they are bundled you should get the other version for free. Yet I have not received Java for free yet, is this promotion over? And if it's not how can I redeem this offer? As the FAQ on the Minecraft website does not address owning Bedrock before the bundle getting Java for free.
