Touch sensitivity

Is there a way in Windows 11 to set desired touchpad pressure? If so, I can't find it. There is a setting for "touchpad sensitivity" but that appears to mean scroll sensitivity, e.g., how far the cursor moves for a given amount of finger swipe on the pad, not the touch pressure or force sensitivity (latest Windows 11 build on Acer Aspire 5).

There should be 2 different settings. One for cursor speed, and one for touch sensitivity. Cursor speed determines how far the pointer moves for a given amount of finger swipe. Sensitivity determines the force or pressure needed to initiate movement of the cursor. My Dell 7415 started having problems detecting my finger recently, and I had to increase the sensitivity. Hope that helps.

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Set the mouse pointer speed.

This setting will adjust the "sensitivity" you want.

[ In my opinion/ personal experience]

No there is no setting for pressure (weight applied) to device. Yes you are correct about the scrolling speed option. I Own an older Acer aspire F15. I have 3years total run time logged on it. I got the "better Silver model". I did have a lot of lag with this laptop it has a older Toshiba HDD 5400rpm disk. It took a beating I held the touch screen together with a binder clip. I did see the silver has a down fall because after a long enough time the silver color wore off in the middle of my touchpad. Still works but I did realize that I had to fix this model often. Over and Over to the point of that was all I was doing on this laptop. Trying to fix it so it could be faster. Nothing worked to make it faster because of the hardware limits. For this laptop the only thing made by acer that I physical saw was the acer logo. They put in that Toshiba HDD realtec Bluetooth and wifi Intel 5 cpu. I don't know if they still are that way but mine sure was it felt like a Frankenstein laptop parted together. I bought a MSI katana laptop the quality and amount of copper cooling pipe they put in. I spend zero time needing to tinker with it to get it to work. I think my windows boot time is 10 seconds on a cold boot and 5 seconds on a soft boot. I thought nooo way [because my acer took 5mins to boot] I took my stop watch and timed it. 8sec 7sec 10sec. I Just haaaad to share my experience with you about how bad my acer was.

    Thank you for reading
