Why is Windows 11 ignoring the power settings?

I have set my turn off display, and put PC to sleep to never.

Shut off hard drive never

Hibernate after never

system unattended never

And still, Windows 11 keeps locking after what seems like a minute.

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Settings

I found this thread trying to solve this and found my own solution. Change settings in Control Panel, NOT in the standards Windows Settings.

Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options > Choose when the computer goes to sleep/turns off display.

It is the same options as the Windows Settings, but there's actually a Save button.

    Thank you.

Can you type "screensaver" in the search on the taskbar to launch Screen Saver Settings (a legacy control panel looking item). Here, please make sure you don't have the 1 minute wait enabled. If so, screen your screen saver drop down to none and save that settings.

Additionally, some monitor has built in power management settings too. That will require you to go into the monitor's local menu on the monitor's side to see if it is the case. If you cannot find it or if you have a different monitor, such as a TV, you can hook it up to the TV to see if it still happens. That can help us narrow down our troubleshooting process.

If all of the above don't yield any improvement, consider a clean boot. You can use this instruction: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t...

See if it happens with clean boot, if not, then it will be coming from third party apps.

    Hello, this is Emily.

Is this desktop or laptop? If it is laptop, there are two sets of settings, one for when plugged in, and the other is when on battery. Make sure this is not due to different settings.

Next, go to Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School, do you see anything listed there?

Additionally, can you tell me if this is Windows 11 Home or Pro? If it is Pro, can you type gpedit in the search on taskbar to launch Group policy editor, then go here: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Power Management. And see the items on the right are set to "not configured"?

Do you mind confirming what's on this page: Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School

Also, are you using a personal Microsoft account to sign into this computer? In another word, I want to make sure this computer is not domain joined.
