Hello , I am facing an issue in changing default display adapter for my laptop screen. I want to change my default display adapter to my dedicated graphics(nvidia gtx) card from my integrated graphics card(amd radeon).

I have tried one method in which first I disabled the integrated graphics card from device manager due to which my default display adapter changed to microsoft default display driver, then I went to nvidia control panel and set 3d settings to high performance nvidia and restarted my pc. Whatever I do my laptop display takes microsoft display and not nivida.

System information : Manufacturer : HP , Processor : amd ryzen 5 3500H , Graphics card : nvidia gtx 1650-ti , OS: window 11

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

It is not possible to change the display adapter to which your laptop screen is connected. The laptop screen is physically connected to the integrated graphics (AMD Radeon in your case), uninstalling the AMD graphics driver will not change it.

You can change which graphics adapter the program will run with, this setting can be changed on Settings > System > Display > Graphics. Select "Browse" to select the application and add it to the list, after adding it, select the application on the list > Options > Select the graphics adapter > Save.
