Since the Windows 11 Update in May 2023, My Logitech HD1080p Webcam Doesn't Work and...

Since the Windows 11 Update in May 2023, My Logitech HD1080p Webcam Doesn't Work and... as soon as I plug it in to my Galaxy ProBook (2023) and/or my OWC docking station, the audio (Mic and speakers) are all rendered in operable.

Without the webcam, using my docking station, the speakers work.

I am totally frustrated. My webcam is just a year old.

Please help.

    Hi Allison,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

    Try this fix

    Right-click on the Windows key and select the Device Manager

    In the Device Manager expand the Camera section and right-click on the driver and select Uninstall device

    After that hit scan for hardware changes

    The camera driver will install again

    after that check if the issue resolved

    When looking under the Device Manager > Camera section, I did not see my camera listed, but a default camera for my Dell laptop pc. The camera had worked for 3 years with this setup, but stopped last week, so some software change apparently happened (maybe part of upgrade to Windows 11 earlier). I followed the instructions by Amr. for uninstall then scan for drivers and the correct driver appeared in less than a minute. Camera works now. THANKS!

    Logitech webcam rightsound rightlight is not detected on Windows 11 desktop any more. HELP?

    I can't uninstall, update, or do anything with a driver for a camera that is not even detected!

    What can I do?

    thank you for all the assistance. I too found my webcam under "sound video and game controllers". I would have never looked there.

    Thank you! I had the same problem and followed your advice. I found the webcam under "sound video and game controllers" instead of "cameras" and uninstalled it. After that I just plugged the webcam back in and it seems to be working. Many frustrations resolved! Thanks again.
