this is a software issue with Microsoft. When Microsoft installed their updates they completely over looked being able to turn off/on the “maintain aspect ratio” function. I liked the previous version that I can disable that and change the ratio to my custom ratio I wanted… Microsoft really dropped the ball on this one
Cannot disable "aspect ratio" when cropping a photo?
With the new windows update I now cannot crop a photo with specific pixels. It does not let me disable the "aspect ratio" when resizing. I think this is an oversight of Microsoft. Help! It is a major inconvenience for my job.

2023-09-16T16:19:13+00:00 I have the same problem. I am unable to turn off the aspect ration in my windows photos. I used to be able to check the "unlock" aspect ratio box or even click on the paper clip icon between the width and height. Now nothing. There is no "Unlock" check box and clicking on the paper clip icon does nothing. What is going on? Do I need to install a 3rd party software just to change the aspect ratio? I already installed Legacy Photos but that didn't help at all.
