How to set windows photo app on my new computer

My photos are showing up in media player and I cant get the photo viewer to be set as default. I want to view my photos as in previous windows versions or with the photo app but can't find it on the list and cant download it from the app store.

Help!

    And when I click on microsoft store I can't download anything from there either.

    No I just want to view my photos in something other than media player. So when I download them from my camera I want to click on an image and be able to scroll through all of them to view. It was straight forward with previous windows version but this is beyond frustrating me. Its a brand new computer so maybe I am just missing something...

    Not sure if you meant the Photos Legacy app. You can go here to download and install it: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/microsoft-pho...

    After that, you can go to File Explorer, find your photo files, right click on one of them, then go to Open with, and pick your Photos Legacy app.
