Hi
Welcome to Microsoft community.
When your HP laptop is stuck in an automatic repair loop, it means that Windows is having trouble starting correctly and keeps trying to fix itself. Here are a few methods you can try to resolve this issue:
- Restart Your PC: This may seem simple, but sometimes a hard reset can solve the problem. Hold down the power button until the computer turns off, then turn it back on again.
- Boot into Safe Mode:
- Restart your PC.
- As soon as the Windows logo appears on your screen, press and hold the power button to force a shutdown.
- Repeat this process 2-3 times until you see the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.
- On this screen, click "Advanced options" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Settings".
- Click "Restart", then select "Enable Safe Mode".
- Use System Restore: If you have previously created restore points in Windows, you can try restoring your system to an earlier point when it was working fine:
- Boot into Advanced Startup Options as described above (the same steps for entering Safe Mode).
- Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > “System Restore”.
- Follow the prompts to choose a restore point before you started experiencing issues.
- Run Startup Repair: The Startup Repair tool can often fix boot problems:
- Access Advanced Startup Options as described above.
- Choose “Troubleshoot” > “Advanced options” > “Startup Repair”.
- Check Disk for Errors: You might be facing these issues due to disk errors:
- Boot into Advanced Startup Options as described above.
- Choose “Troubleshoot”>“Advanced options”>“Command Prompt” In Command Prompt window type
chkdsk /f /rand hit Enter.
Always backup important data when possible before performing system-level operations like these ones mentioned above.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
