Hello guys,

My pc was working fine until one day it stopped detecting all my hard drives and sent me straight to BIOS, In BIOS it does not show any hard drives, I plugged my bootable windows usb to the setup and it did not detect them there also. I have a Gigabyte B450 pro Aorus. Here are the solutions I have tried:

  • changing sata ports, still same issue
  • using new sata cables, still same issue
  • I bought a new SSD and NVME m.2 these are also not detecting
  • I have moved the ports for the new ssd and nvme but still not detecting
  • updated my bios, they are still not detecting
  • I have checked the specs of the new hardware I bought and they are compatible with my motherboard but still not detecting.

Please help me out! Let me know if you need more info about my PC! Thank you!!!

    Hi, Natalies18. I'm sorry to know you're getting this hardware issue.

    There are many reasons why this issue occurs. If suddenly all disks are not recognized, motherboard must be damaged. Also, modified Bios values can generate this issue.

    I recommend you to reset Bios settings to factory values. If that doesn't solve the issue, please contact your computer manufacturer support staff.

    If you need something about Windows or additional information, please let me know.

    TTB=Try To Boot

    I looked at a picture of the board and did a visual trace. I would try to reseat the cpu then I would pull one ram stick then TTB. Then put back the ram stick pull the other ram stick and TTB. then pull both and put it back then TTB. Pull the power port and then yep TTB. After all of that you will know that ther is no way its a loose cable. I suspect it may be a capacitor sometimes ram will do this thats why you pull the ram as a test. By now I think you pulled almost all the wires. Last thing would be a ground issue but I really dont see the ground issue often. Other than that it really sounds like a hard total system failure. I know its not the best "news" but I would reccommend a MSI katana laptop. It should have all the ports for your new drives you just got. This is what the cooling looks like its the best I ever seen yet.

    10 second boot time.
