My external speakers sound like I'm in a cave. (after I pause any sound it echoes as if in a cave)

Speakers were working fine and it happened overnight. I tried following the steps provided on similar threads to no avail.

    Hi Eric,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

Right-click the volume icon on the taskbar > Sounds > Recording tab > Double click your microphone device > > Listen tab > Uncheck the "Listen to this device" option if it is checked. If there is more than one microphone device, do the same procedure.

If it does not solve your issue, on this same window, go to the Playback tab > double click your audio output device > Enhancements tab > Check the option "Disable all enhancements"
