CPU METRIC MISSING from AMD ADRENALINE SOFTWARE caused by GOOGLE PLAY GAMES BETA INSTALLATION

Anonymous
2023-09-18T16:30:24+00:00

The missing CPU metrics info is cpu voltage, cpu temprature, cpu clock speed, and others. It happen after the google play games beta installed then request for a restart. After restarting, AMD ADRENALINE only has CPU UTILIZATION metric for the CPU.

After that, I downloaded the ryzen master & h&w monitor, the sensor for cpu voltage, cpu temprature, cpu clock speed, and others is working fine, the specific software for CPU can read the sensor. But the adrenaline has no info/sensor for CPU, only CPU Utilization, but other metric like GPU, RAM, FPS is fine, i even try to reset the metric setting, still the other hardware they appear to be shown/not at the eye icon.

Now i have tried everything, cleanup, and uninstall, then download & install from link you provide, and still nothing.

I said this bug is can always happen because the google play game beta installation, it happen to me first at december 2022, luckly i need a new windows for my nvme that previously i used ssd sata. So the windows is complete new, but the other disk storage is still same, so the bug is fixed and i cant waste my money again for the same bug amd & google is having for almost a year. I do search about the bug from website & youtube but only an article that discussing my problem

AMD Radeon software does not display CPU usage met... - AMD Community

Solved: The old issue, CPU info missing. - AMD Community

Also theres a corrupted files from COMMAND PROMPT sfc /scannow but i forget what (it fixed offline)

Step to trigger the bug:

  1. Install GOOGLE PLAY GAME BETA
  2. GOOGLE PLAY GAME BETA will request for Restart after successfully installed
  3. CPU METRIC in ADRENALINE SOFTWARE only shown CPU UTILIZATION (while ryzen master shown all cpu metrics)

  1. Open any games
  2. BSOD will appear in most games after it opened
  3. BSOD code: SYSTEM SERVICE EXCPETION, CRITICAL PROCESS DIED, IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, DXGMMS2.SYS, ETC.

I Appriciate any solution from you guys.

From the analysis of the dump file you provided, it appears that the computer is blue-screening due to abnormal memory access.

You can follow the steps below:

    1. Automatic virtual memory management

You may set the virtual memory to be managed automatically by the system, which will optimize your system performance to some extent. Win + R to open "Run", type "sysdm.cpl", press Enter to open 'System Properties"> "Advanced" tab > "Performance" > "Settings"> "Advanced" tab"> "Virtual memory"> "Change" , check "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives", and press Enter to confirm.

    2. Memory Diagnostic

Win + Q to open the search box, type "MdSched", press Enter to open the program, select "Restart now and check for problems(recommended)", then restart the system and start memory diagnosis.

    Hello Jupiter Supriyadi,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

If this abnormal situation only happened after you install GOOGLE PLAY GAME BETA, it means that the problem is more likely caused by the software. Moreover, the Beta version of the software belongs to the test version (unstable channel), and there may indeed be instability. Therefore, it is a good option to contact the software provider for further technical support, as they would be the best resource to provide you with specific guidance and solutions for their products.

You mentioned that you get a blue screen when playing games after installing the app, please check if there are .dmp files in the C:\Windows\Minidump directory.

    • If so, package these files, upload them to OneDrive, and share them, and then include a link to share them in the next reply. Since these files detail exactly what happened when your system crashed, this helps us resolve your issue.
    • If not, run the following command to enable it. Win logo key + Q, open the search box, type "cmd", then right-click Command Prompt, select Run as administrator), and then type the following command.
        wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType=3

This is to enable blue screen logging. You need to access the C:\Windows\Minidump directory to see if there are .dmp files after the next blue screen appears.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Mosken_L - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
