    Did you shut down your computer the normal way, then restart it to see if that solved it!

    Or see if you can delete it by opening Task Manager and deleting it in there:

    Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open TM

    Thanks so much for the suggestion on how to close out my frozen Acrobat file on my desktop. The Shift-Ctrl-Esc to access Task Manager worked quickly and effectively.
