I'm attempting to replace the Cirrus Logic Superior High Definition Audio driver with the Realtek High Definition Audio driver on my Dell Inspiron 3501. However, despite uninstalling Cirrus Logic from the Device Manager, it doesn't seem to disappear when I install the Realtek drivers. What should I do?

    Hi , Nevin.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Look from what I saw here the Driver line presented and Cirrus logic.

However you can try to force change the driver using

update device select > Look for a driver on my computer > Allow me to choose the Driver from an available list > The list will have the High Definition Driver Device from Microsoft and Driver Realtek (Cirrus) in this case need the Driver of the drive with hardware id:

    There is nothing to replace.

Your laptop is a pandemic era laptop, the whole world ran out of supplies. Some 3501 comes with realtek audio chips and you install the realtek audio driver on these laptops. Other 3501 comes with cirrus logic audio chips and you install cirrus logic audio drivers on those laptops.

    1. Download the DDU from the link below and extract it to a folder on your computer.

    Hi , Nevin.

You download the driver from the link above, select the extract option, place it in a folder to extract it, then return to the driver update option, select the disk option and click look for the HDXDELLBC2018.inf file inside the folder you extracted the realtek driver.
