I have been trying to solve this for ages. I tried reinstalling the app on my phone and on my PC. I updated my phone. I looked at ways to alter the keyboard because I was getting an 8 digit alphanumeric code. Nothing worked.

SOLVED - SOLUTION - 9 Number Pin - Phone Link

Then I decided to Google for an install of Phone Link and found this one: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3660-phone-link-app.html

I ran the install and it gave me a warning "You already have a newer version installed" but I clicked "Install Anyway" and it overwrote the updated version. Then I tried to link it again and it finally gave me a 9 code pin in the format of 012-345-678 and I was able to pair the dang phone.

It took me a while to sort out the Bluetooth after this, so that I could make calls. I fixed it my deleting the paired PC from my phone and phone from my PC and then tried again and it finally linked and gave me full functionality.

Just leaving this reply here because it might help someone else in the future!

I have the same problem, when prompted on my phone to enter the 9 digit PIN from my PC but the PIN in my PC is a 8 alphanumeric PIN.

I click on the phone "I do not see PIN in my PC" option then I get "Verify with QR code" option.

Then follow instructions from Sumit D - IA

"When asked Is the QR code on your PC ready? select Continue.
You'll be asked permission for the app to access your camera. After accepting, an in-app camera will open. Use this camera to scan the QR code displayed on your PC.
After scanning the QR code, you may be asked for additional Android permissions. These permissions allow you to access content from your phone on your PC.
Follow the prompts on your Android device and then select Done."

p.s. I was going to install the Phone Link program found at https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3660-phone-link-app.html](https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3660-phone-link-app.html "www.techspot.com") as suggested by [GemmaKnight33 but I didn't do it as I was able to verify with the QR code.

I had the same problem, where I would be prompted to "input the nine digit number shown on your pc," and it would never appear. The issue turned out to be an old version of the "Your Phone" app was installed on my PC, but the Microsoft Store indicated it was the latest version. To fix this I manually uninstalled the app and reinstalled it from the Microsoft Store.

To uninstall from a command prompt, enter:

    winget uninstall --name "Your Phone"

Then go to the Microsoft Store and reinstall it.

    Hi Mukhtar,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

You should be able to pair using QR code. Otherwise the code will appear on the PC.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/phone...

Once you've signed in, go back to your PC, select the I have the Link to Windows app ready check box, and then select Pair with QR code.

Note: If you'd like to pair your device without using a QR code, select Pair manually on your PC instead. You'll be prompted to enter a code on your Android device.

A popup window with a QR code will appear on your PC screen.

In the mobile app on your Android device, select Link your phone and PC. When asked Is the QR code on your PC ready? select Continue.

You'll be asked permission for the app to access your camera. After accepting, an in-app camera will open. Use this camera to scan the QR code displayed on your PC.

After scanning the QR code, you may be asked for additional Android permissions. These permissions allow you to access content from your phone on your PC.

Follow the prompts on your Android device and then select Done. Then return to your PC to explore the Phone Link app.

    Hope this helps.
