Asus laptop boots up fine.

When I logging in a totally blank screen comes up.

I have no idea how to get the laptop started.

I have restarted 3 times no better. Powered off and restarted no better.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Hi Bill, I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing. Let's try to resolve this together.

It seems like your Asus laptop is encountering a problem after logging in, displaying a blank screen with no icons. One possible solution is to attempt to repair the startup using the Windows Recovery Environment (winRE). Here's how you can do it:

    1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to power off your device.
    2. Press the power button to turn on your device. As soon as you see the initial indication of Windows starting (such as the manufacturer's logo appearing during a restart), hold down the power button for 10 seconds to power off your device.
    3. Repeat this process twice.
    4. On the third start, Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment or winRE.
    5. Select "Advanced options."
    6. On the "Choose an option" screen, choose "Troubleshoot" and select "Advanced options".
    7. Select "Startup Repair" and then "Restart".

This should hopefully help in resolving the issue.

    John J.D.

Hi Bill, To better assist you, could you please share your System Summary with us? Here's how to do it:

    > Please right-click Start and select Run.

    > Type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    > Capture a screenshot of the System Summary window and share it in your next response.
