Microsoft edge will not run on windows 7

I was using the program fine then one day it just stopped loading.

I do not know what happened

I cannot access the program at all so I cannot access the reset function in the program or even clear

the cookies and the browsing history if that is causing the problem.

Is there any way I can clear cookies and browsing history without the program running? ie from temp

files?

I have tried to uninstall the program from control panel and that will not work either

many thanks if anyone can help me

Microsoft Edge is no longer supported by Microsoft on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.

Edge is not a popular choice for browsers among very many people. Current market share for Edge is 5.43%. The dominant browser choce by a mile is Chrome --63.56%.

Removing corrupted software is problematic. Sometimes, downloading and re-installing will correct the problem so that it can be properly removed.

I do recommed you seriously consider the market leader.

Can you provide more details for "I have tried to uninstall the program from control panel and that will not work either"?

The complete text of any error message might help.

Note that you can't use the current version of any of the popular web browsers for Windows 7. You need to make sure that you download and install the correct older version.
