I figured out how to fix the number pad if it isn't a number lock issue.

    Open control panel

    Select "large icons"

    Select "ease of access center"

Select "make keyboard easier to use"

Make sure "turn on Mouse Key" is NOT CHECKED

    Click "apply"

This should fix the problem (it did for me)!

    A Youtube Video helped me!

    Hello Kathy

Im Juliet and Im happy to help you :)

If the number pad on your Microsoft keyboard is not working in Windows 11, I would suggest you try to Check the Num Lock key. Make sure the Num Lock key is turned on.

This key toggles the function of the number pad on and off. Press the Num Lock key to turn it on and off and see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps :) Let me know the results

My number lock key is on, and the number pad still is not working. I just purchased a new keyboard because I thought the number pad on the old one was broken. Neither number pad works. So now what?

In previous versions of Windows clicking on the Num lock would actually work. Microsoft is regressing. With Windows 10 and 11 you need to hack the registry to get it to work again.

    HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard change "InitialKeyboardIndicators" to 2

    Thanks
