    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm Microsoft user like you.

I can understand you are facing issues with some files types being changed to .pdf.

Click Start button -> Open Settings and

    Click on Apps settings.

On the left side, you will see Default apps. Click on it.

Scroll down –> Click Reset to Microsoft recommended defaults.

Click on the Reset button and all your File Type Associations will be set to their original values

    Reboot your computer.

In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try our best to resolve your issue.

    Best Regards,

    Prakash

    So that didn’t work.

I use Chrome as my Web browser, as it works better with our online applications.

This photo viewer was Photos and still is.

The only thing that reset appeared to do was change my Web browser to Edge, which I changed back to Chrome.

    Then I restarted my computer.

** also, we use Bluebeam not Acrobat, so I had to reset that too.

Now I go to the Choose Default apps by file type and PDF DOCUMENT is still showing. EVERY time I reboot, I have to change this back to Photos but it still is associated with PDF Document.
