This is Clearly a problem that has been happening to a lot of people for a while, sadly there is no fix. you can go hours and hours talking to support and doing things to fix it, but there is no real way to fix this. they might even try to blame you for the app not working. The best way to overcome this is to cancel your Xbox subscription (if you don't have a console) and switch to another platform. (Steam or PlayStation) The sad fact is that Xbox doesn't really care about its users and does most things that it does to get money.
Is it possible to play gamepass games WITHOUT the Xbox app on PC?
Hi! I recently had a really bad issue with Xbox App that being I simply can't run the app, it won't run.
I wanted to try out some of the games on the gamepass but as I said the Xbox app won't start up.
My question is simple that being am I able to download and play the gamepass games without using the Xbox app?
For reference I'm on a PC running Windows 11

2024-01-12T17:58:08+00:00 I've been having the same issue for months. Xbox app just stuck at the logo screen, never loads. Windows 10. The app used to work great, then one day it stopped.
It means I can't access game pass. Even if I try to download my games through Edge instead - it just attempts to launch the app locally, which hangs at the logo as 'usual'.

2023-09-13T02:47:27+00:00 Sadly I already went through a process with another expert with various attempts at fixing it none of which worked.
I repaired it, reinstalled it, used sfc /scannow, used Windows Powershell for a few things, installed new drivers, restarted my computer a few times- quite a few things none of which worked.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the current windows update or something I'm not quite sure.
