This printer says its installed but is not found anywhere on the computer.

Not in print management, settings, or registry editor.

What would cause this and how could I fix it?

Thanks

Chris

Hello, I have this same issue but my cloud printing is not managed through google but azure, I cannot find this service, is there a Microsoft Equivalent ? tried removing it from the registry but couldn't find it there,

issue was caused by someone incorrectly trying to remove the printer then cancelling causing the process to get stuck, the window was then force closed using Taskmgr putting the device in this state,

EDIT: scratch that found a solution here : Universal printer says installed, but not in printer list - Microsoft Community Hub

hope this helps some one else

Yes, I am able to ping the printer.

I can even add it manually.

But I need it to be added through cloud print.

I wont let me with it being "installed" though.

Hello and thanks for reaching out for support. My name is Larribeau, I'm a regular user like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

One thing we can do is check to see if the computer is able to see the printer. Are you able to check on the printer if first of all its connected to your network? If it is connected, check to see if you can see the IP address for this printer.

Using this IP address, we can visit the start menu, open the command prompt and using the command "ping 137.13.24.155" where the IP would be the IP of your printer.

If you are able to ping the printer and add it manually but are unable to add it through cloud print, there may be an issue with the cloud print service or the printer's configuration.

Lets try a few steps to resolve this issue

Restart cloud print service: Restart the cloud print service on your computer to see if that resolves the issue. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Find the "Google Cloud Print Service" and right-click on it, then select "Restart".

Give that a quick try, although it may not give success, there has been cases this simple process has helped
